Broken pallets at the dock, surplus skids in the yard, racking that has to come down before the next layout goes in. We tear it down, haul it out and come back on a schedule, so the pallets don't pile up again.

Why pallets and racking pile up
Pallets come in with every inbound load, and not all of them go back out. Some break, some are odd sizes you don't reuse, and some belong to a vendor who never collects them. They end up stacked at the end of a dock or against the fence line, taking up space and creating the kind of clutter that shows up on every safety walk.
Racking has its own problem. When a slotting plan changes, a client leaves or a building is being returned, the rack has to come down, and someone has to take it away. Most facilities don't have a spare crew for teardown or a truck for the steel, so the job sits until it becomes urgent.
What we pick up and take down
Pallets and skids
- Wood, plastic and metal pallets
- Broken, damaged, custom-sized and heavy-duty pallets
- Skids and crates
- One-time cleanouts, from a single stack to a full yard
- Recurring pallet pickup on a set schedule
Racking and shelving
- Pallet racking teardown and removal, whether it's still standing or already on the floor
- Industrial and stockroom shelving
- Whole-aisle or whole-building removals during a re-layout, consolidation or exit
Pallets and racking rarely come alone. While we're there, we also take cardboard, shrink wrap and other packaging, scrap metal and general warehouse junk, so you don't need a second vendor for the rest of the pile.
Full waste and recycling services from the same vendor
Pallets are usually one waste stream among several. Jiffy Junk does more than junk removal. We have access to all waste and recycling assets and services, so pallet pickup can be part of a single program for the building:
- Recurring pickups for pallets, cardboard and trash overflow: weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or on a custom schedule. See cardboard pickup.
- Roll-off dumpsters from 10 to 40 yards for bigger cleanouts. See dumpster rental.
- Scrap metal recycling for steel racking and fixtures. See scrap metal removal.
- Electronics recycling for retired scanners, printers and computers. See electronics recycling.
Recurring service is typically priced lower than booking the same volume as one-off hauls.
How pallet and racking removal works
- Tell us what you have. Book online, call, or text photos of the pallet pile or the racking layout. Rough counts and aisle lengths help.
- Get an upfront price. We price by volume, labor and access. Labor, hauling and disposal are included, and what we quote is what you pay. Recurring pickups get custom pricing based on frequency and volume.
- We schedule around your docks. Early mornings, evenings and weekends are available, so teardown and pickup don't compete with live loads.
- We take it down, load and haul. Licensed, insured, uniformed and background-checked crews do the teardown and the lifting.
- Material goes to the right place. Reusable items get reused, metal and wood are sorted for recycling, and the rest goes to licensed disposal.
One vendor across your sites
Pallet problems don't stop at one building. Proudly serving all 50 states and Canada, Jiffy Junk can run the same pickup program at every warehouse and DC you operate, with one point of contact instead of a pallet hauler in each market. If you want it, we can consolidate billing across locations onto one invoice, and we can add PO and site numbers to every invoice. See Multi-Location & National Accounts.
Wood and steel are worth recycling
Pallets and racking are two of the easiest things in a warehouse to keep out of the landfill. We don't head straight to the dump. Wood and metal are sorted for recycling, and usable items get a second life where possible. Only what truly can't be reused or recycled goes to licensed disposal.
Pallet & racking FAQ
Do you pick up broken pallets? Yes. Broken, surplus and odd-sized pallets are exactly what we take, whether they're wood, plastic or metal, from a single stack to a full yard.
Can you set up recurring pallet pickup? Yes. We run weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and custom schedules for pallets, cardboard and trash overflow, usually priced lower than booking the same volume as one-off hauls.
Will you take down the racking, or does it need to be dismantled first? We take it down. Our crews handle racking teardown and removal, and we also haul racking that's already been taken apart.
How is pallet and racking removal priced? By volume, meaning how much space the load takes up in our truck, plus labor and access. You get the full price before we start, and recurring pickups get custom pricing based on frequency and volume.
Can you handle pallet pickup at warehouses in different states? Yes. We serve all 50 states and Canada with one point of contact. Consolidated billing across locations is available on request.
