The stuff that never ships
Every warehouse collects things that never make it onto a truck. Broken pallets get stacked against the back wall. Shrink wrap and cardboard overflow the compactor area. A retired conveyor section or a dead pallet jack gets parked in a corner "for now." Damaged and obsolete stock sits in a cage waiting for someone to make a call on it.
None of it is anyone's job, so it grows until it costs you a staging lane, a pick face or a clean safety walk. Then it lands on a supervisor whose real job is getting orders out the door.
The usual fix doesn't help much. One company brings the dumpster, another takes the cardboard, a scrap dealer shows up when he can, and accounts payable gets three invoices for one problem.
What we clear from warehouses and DCs
Our crews handle the disassembly, loading and haul-out. We take almost any non-hazardous material, including:
- Pallets and skids: broken, surplus or odd-sized, from a single stack to a full trailer's worth.
- Pallet racking: teardown and removal when a layout changes or a building empties. See Pallet & Racking Removal.
- Packaging waste: cardboard, shrink wrap, dunnage and other packaging materials.
- Obsolete machinery and equipment that's taking up floor space.
- Scrap metal: shelving, carts, cages and metal fixtures. See scrap metal removal.
- Office and break room contents: desks, chairs, filing cabinets, appliances and electronics from the shipping office or mezzanine.
- Damaged, returned or obsolete inventory: we can destroy unsold, damaged or branded product and provide a certificate of destruction.
- Bulk waste and trash overflow that your regular service can't keep up with.
More than junk removal: full waste and recycling services
A cleanout is often a sign that the building's waste setup no longer fits the volume going through it. Jiffy Junk does more than junk removal. We have access to all waste and recycling assets and services, so the vendor that clears the backlog can also put a program in place that keeps it from coming back:
- Roll-off dumpsters from 10 to 40 yards for cleanouts you'd rather load over several days. See dumpster rental.
- Recurring pickups for cardboard, pallets and trash overflow: weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or on a schedule you set. See cardboard pickup.
- Electronics recycling for scanners, printers, computers and other retired devices. See electronics recycling.
- Scrap metal recycling for racking, carts and damaged metal fixtures.
Recurring service is typically priced lower than booking the same volume as one-off hauls.
How a warehouse cleanout works
- Send us the scope. Book online, call, or text photos or a short video walk of the building.
- Get an upfront price. We price by volume, labor and access. The quote includes labor, hauling and disposal, and what we quote is what you pay.
- Schedule around operations. Tell us your dock schedule and shift changes. We work early mornings, evenings, weekends and, on the biggest jobs, overnight.
- We load, sort and haul. Crews arrive uniformed, on marked trucks, licensed and insured, and every team member is background-checked. We can provide proof of insurance before the job.
- We leave it clean. Choose our optional White Glove Treatment and we leave the area broom-clean.
One vendor for every building
Proudly serving all 50 states and Canada, Jiffy Junk is a single vendor for warehouse cleanouts wherever your buildings are. If you run DCs in more than one region, you shouldn't need a different hauler and a different set of paperwork for each. One point of contact coordinates the work across your sites. If you want it, we can consolidate billing across locations onto one invoice, and we can add PO and site numbers to every invoice.
Running several sites? See Multi-Location & National Accounts.
Keeping warehouse waste out of the landfill
We don't head straight to the landfill. Usable furniture and equipment go to local charities. Metal, cardboard, electronics and wood are sorted for recycling. Whatever can't be donated or recycled goes to licensed disposal in line with local, state and federal rules.
Warehouse cleanout FAQ
How fast can you start a warehouse cleanout? We offer same-day service when there's availability in your area and schedule larger cleanouts ahead. Availability depends on location and job size, so the fastest way to check is to call (844) 543-3966 or book online.
Can you work while we're still receiving and shipping? Yes. We schedule around your hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and overnight for the largest jobs, and we keep crews clear of active docks and aisles.
How is a warehouse cleanout priced? By volume, which is how much space the material takes up in our truck, plus labor and access. You get the price upfront, and it includes labor, hauling and disposal. Recurring pickups get custom pricing based on frequency and volume.
Do you take pallets and pallet racking? Yes. We take pallets in any quantity, as a one-time haul or a recurring pickup, and we take down and remove racking.
Can you destroy damaged or obsolete inventory? Yes. We can destroy unsold, damaged or branded inventory and provide a certificate of destruction for your records.
Can you handle distribution centers in several states? Yes. We serve all 50 states and Canada with one point of contact, and we can consolidate billing across locations if you need it.
