Junk removal across Canada

Jiffy Junk serves businesses across Canada, from the Greater Toronto Area and the Golden Horseshoe to Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and the Atlantic provinces. Recycling rules in Canada are set province by province, so a job in Mississauga follows different rules than one in Burnaby or Laval.

Commercial junk removal in Canada

The GTA's industrial belt in Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan and Milton, with nearly a billion square feet of industrial space, is Canada's largest warehouse market and one of the largest in North America. Greater Vancouver adds port-linked distribution space in Delta, Richmond and Surrey. Calgary and Edmonton serve as distribution hubs for western Canada, and Montreal adds manufacturing and retail. U.S. companies with Canadian sites can keep all their locations with one vendor.

Related services: warehouse cleanouts, national accounts and retail store cleanouts.

Recycling rules to know in Canada

  • Ontario: Ontario's electronics (ITT/AV) recycling falls under producer-responsibility rules (O. Reg. 522/20) overseen by the Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority (RPRA). The old Ontario electronics program ended December 31, 2020, and producers now run collection. See junk removal in Toronto.
  • British Columbia: In British Columbia, EPRA runs Return-It Electronics, which offers drop-off for TVs, computers and other electronics. There is no provincial mattress take-back program yet, so mattress fees and options depend on your regional district.
  • Alberta: In Alberta, the Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA) runs electronics, tire and paint recycling programs.
  • Quebec: In Quebec, electronics are recycled through EPRA-Québec (ARPE-Québec), part of the EPRA network.
  • Manitoba, Saskatchewan and the Atlantic provinces: Electronics recycling in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador runs through provincial EPRA programs.

Municipal rules on bulky items and appliances also apply. Check your city's waste department.
