Illinois warehouse, retail and office cleanouts
The Chicago region is one of North America's largest freight hubs. Intermodal yards and big-box warehouses around Joliet and Elwood, the I-55 and I-80 corridors, and the O'Hare area generate constant racking and pallet work. Chicago's Loop and suburban office parks produce large furniture removals.
Related services: warehouse cleanouts, 3PL warehouse decommissioning, pallet racking removal and office cleanouts.

What can and can't go in the trash in Illinois
- The Illinois Consumer Electronics Recycling Act bans TVs, computers, monitors, printers, keyboards and mice, game consoles, DVD players and other covered devices from landfills. As of January 1, 2026, the list also includes peripherals and home-audio components. The ban covers businesses, schools and households alike (Illinois EPA).
- Chicago businesses use private haulers for trash and bulk items, and electronics have to be kept out of the regular trash.
- Appliances that contain refrigerant need it recovered under EPA Section 608 before scrapping, so those units are handled separately from other junk.
Rules change. Check the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illinois EPA) and your municipality for current requirements.
