Business cleanouts across Pennsylvania
The Lehigh Valley and the I-78/I-81 corridor through Harrisburg and Carlisle form one of the largest warehouse markets on the East Coast, about 164 million square feet, so 3PL changeovers and racking removal are routine. Philadelphia and Pittsburgh add hospital, university and office cleanouts.
Related services: warehouse cleanouts, 3PL warehouse decommissioning, pallet racking removal and office cleanouts.

Pennsylvania landfill bans and recycling programs
- Since January 24, 2013, Pennsylvania's Covered Device Recycling Act has banned desktop and laptop computers, tablets, monitors, computer peripherals and TVs from the trash (PA DEP).
- Act 101 requires municipalities with 10,000 or more residents (and some smaller, denser ones) to run curbside recycling, and many set their own bulk-item rules.
- Under federal rules (EPA Clean Air Act Section 608), refrigerant has to be recovered from fridges, freezers and AC units before they are scrapped.
Rules change. Check the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and your municipality for current requirements.
